Craft a first impression, capture attention, inspire pride, and build a fervent fanbase. The Supernovas were on a quest for a visual identity that mirrors their dynamism.
OUTCOME
This logotype and icon take center stage on the team’s uniforms, website, and social media platforms, and has made debuts on several city and team promotional events to aid in the success of launching their inaugural season.

Collaborating with The Remedy, I started the journey to encapsulate the Supernovas’ essence in a visual identity that would resonate with fans and players. With a clear brief, the exploration began by delving into the remarkable attributes of a supernova. Research and inspiration gathered made a meaningful connection between this cosmic explosion and the team’s aspirations. Many concepts were sketched, and three distinctive options emerged as front-runners.
Logo Versions
Representing the Supernovas energy and unity the primary logo, combines custom lettering with a subtle volleyball burst, mirroring the explosive energy of a supernova. The secondary logo integrates a bold Omaha “O” identity with a single burst, for a versatile mark adaptable across various media.
Make AN IMPACT
The Supernovas’ brand logos are propelling the team to the forefront of the pro volleyball scene as it unfolds. The logos are catalyzing awareness and enthusiasm, unifying both players and fans. As the logos appear on the team’s uniforms and fan’s apparel, the Supernovas’ presence was amplified. The Supernova’s team co-owner and superstar Jason Derulo, has also generated engagement across social media wearing the new logo. The Supernovas had not only launched their pre-season but had also ignited a bright light that is shining throughout Omaha and the pro volleyball world.
